Reaction Characteristics and Existing Form of Phosphorus during Coal-Based Reduction of Oolitic Iron Ore

چکیده

It is particularly significant to investigate the reduction behavior and existing form of phosphorus in metal slag phase during coal-based for efficient development utilization high-phosphorus oolitic hematite. The minerals their high hematite were systematically investigated using HSC software simulation, thermodynamic calculation, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS). results show that after Fe2O3 was reduced iron, apatite promoted by providing most inclined enrichment site (metallographic phase). Phosphorus existed mainly two forms phase—one Fe3P compound at boundary phase, other solid solution iron. There incompletely reacted apatite, formed as CaO–SiO2–P2O5 solution. In early stage reduction, while later stage, it

Reaction Behavior of Phosphorus in Coal-Based Reduction of an Oolitic Hematite Ore and Pre-Dephosphorization of Reduced Iron

Coal-based reduction followed by magnetic separation is an effective way to recover iron from high phosphorus-containing oolitic hematite ore. Given that high quantities of dephosphorization agent are needed to obtain low phosphorus reduced iron, a novel approach is proposed by the authors. Without prior phosphorus removal, the phosphorus was enriched in the reduced iron during a reduction proc...

The Layered Reduction of Hematite (Iron Oxide) Ore by Non-Coking Coal: The Effect of Calcium Carbonate on Reduction

Due to the abundance of the non-coking coal and limitations as well as the high costs of the natural gas, the present study examined the direct reduction of hematite (iron oxide) ore in the temperature range of 800-1000 °C by the non-coking coal volatiles. Approximately, 74.9% of the total amounts of volatiles and gases exit the coal up to 800°C. The onset temperature to exit volatiles from the...

RECOVERY OF IRON FROM LOW-GRADE HEMATITE ORE USING COAL-BASED DIRECT REDUCTION FOLLOWED BY MAGNETIC SEPARATION

In the present work, iron recovery from a low-grade hematite ore (containing less than 40% iron), which is not applicable in common methods of ironmaking, was studied. Non-coking coal was used as reducing agent. Reduction experiments were performed under various coal to hematite ratios and temperatures. Reduction degree was calculated using the gravimetric method. Reduced samples were subjected...

environmental effects of gol-e-gohar iron ore mine on groundwater of the area

gol-e-gohar iron ore mine of sirjan in southern part of iran is a large open pit that operates below the groundwater table and during mining operation, dewatering is required to prevent operation processes from flooding. current operation is going on by digging wells in or out of the pit and pumping to prevent flooding. as a result of the former dewatering operation a vast deep cone of depressi...

Hydrodynamic Characteristics of Dry Beneficiation of Iron Ore and Coal in a Fast Fluidized Bed

Iron ore and coal are the two major important raw materials being used in Iron making industries. Usually ore fines containing around 5% Alumina are rejected due to higher proportion of alumina. Therefore, a technology or process which may reduce the alumina content by 2% by beneficiation process will be highly attractive . In addition fine coals with ash content is used nearly 12% is directly ...
